I've been teaching yoga since 1999. In 2011, I earned the Anusara Inspired™ credential, and though no longer affiliated with the Anusara school, I teach mainly that method, with a strong focus on alignment and a philosophical basis in Tantric yoga—meaning that our yoga is engaging with life rather than turning away from that engagement. I count as my great teachers Lynn Kingston, Sara Rose, Sianna Sherman, Amy Ippoliti, Noah Mazé, Martin Kirk, Amy Reed, and most especially, Douglas Brooks. I teach in Northampton at Yoga Sanctuary and at the Northampton Athletic Club. While teaching yoga, I was for many years an editor and writer with the local paper, the Daily Hampshire Gazette. Since retiring from the paper, I have written a blog, Walking the Beat, on its website. I am also a freelance editor and writer.
