Elyse's interest in "that hot yoga thing" shifted when she completed certifications with Street Yoga and Yoga Gangster. She began to (and continues to) share yoga with communities with trauma, substance abuse and interrelated concerns. Elyse took an extended break from the Philly for a social work opportunities in Uganda. Out of curiosity from the families she was working with, Elyse began sharing yoga or "ooga" as the children called it while working in Africa. Every day, Elyse witnessed families demonstrating the Baptiste concept "of myself I can do nothing but there is a power within me that can". Elyse completed her 200 RYT training program at Anjali Power Yoga in May 2014. She is also a clinical social worker who received her Master's degree in Social Work from Temple University in 2012. Elyse promotes the healing and regaining of power that yoga ignites. Elyse teaches at Anjali Power Yoga in Philadelphia PA and Center for Mindful Change in Wlimington DE.
