Emilia graduated with a BFA from The School of Visual Arts in 2009. Feeling stifled by her first job at an art agency, she moved to Alaska to work aboard a commercial fishing vessel. Having grown up in two countries, she loves to travel and decided to spend several years exploring Asia, Africa, and South America. A friend recommended yoga for a back injury obtained from snowboarding and the healing aspects were undeniable. After returning to New Jersey to study biochemistry, she has found yoga to be a playful escape from the rigidity of her school work. She completed her 200 RYT through Yoga Emilia believes that yoga can be for everyone and loves guiding students through a light hearted practice that will leave them feeling strong, and balanced.
