Emily Curtis, is trained in an authentic tradition of hatha and raja yoga by her teacher Acharya Upendra Roy, in Sydney.
She has been teaching since 2002 as well as spending extended periods of time studying yoga and yogic philosophy with various teachers in India. Emily has also completed an Iyengar Teacher Training Course in 2005 and a Sivananda Teacher Training Certificate 2007, both in India.
Her focus is on teaching the wholeness of all yoga has to offer and staying true to the authenticity of hatha yoga as taught in the ancient texts. She has run yoga retreats around Sydney, as well as the north of India, France, Portugal and currently working at Synchronised therapies creating retreats in the Noosa area in Queensland. She teaches weekly classes at Yoga Circle in Noosaville and various workshops at the new Acharyas House of Yoga in Sydney.
In 2012 she co-authored and published her first book of yoga , 'The teachings on Hatha and Raja Yoga by Acharya Upendra Roy'.
