Although I had practiced yoga for 17 years in 2013, it wasn’t until I resigned from a job that was holding me back on many levels and began teaching yoga that I realized the full potency of my practice. The ensuing space allowed me the time and focus to align with my own power and essence in a way that I never had before, and to make this the most extraordinary time of my life. My husband, Michael, and I made a leap of faith and moved from East Hampton, NY to Vashon Island, WA, a beautiful, natural oasis in the Pacific Northwest, where we are building our simple, modern, dream home and studio. Yoga has allowed me to live my dream life!

Now it is my honor to guide others, particularly 50+ women, in connecting with the vision of their most exceptional life. Opening our inner space can facilitate each of us in connecting more fully with what allows us to live the life we are meant to live. I've often been struck by how the concept of 'letting go of what no longer serves' applies to both our inner (mind/body) and home space, and one way I particular enjoy helping others is by partnering with professional home organizers and interior designers to assist in achieving that sense of spaciousness. A home that feels like a serene oasis supports space for growth on all levels.

As a former librarian and avid follower of personal growth books and podcasts, I also love to recommend titles that I believe may help others in achieving their goals and desires.

I have been teaching yoga since 2013. I also had a home organizing business for three years. By creating spaciousness in our mind and body through breath and mind/body awareness, we can create spaciousness that aligns our inner and outer worlds. I love what Colleen Saidman Yee says in her 2015 book, Yoga for Life:

"Yoga is about the search for space, physically and are already home, we just don't know it."

I received my 200-hour yoga teacher certification at KamaDeva Yoga in East Hampton, NY, studying with Jessica Bellofatto and Lois Nesbit.

congratulations Emily

I've been very fortunate to have known Emily through her yoga
training, a week of intense yoga in Tulum, Mexico, and to take her very first
yoga class. And of course it was no surprise that it was first rate and flowed
beautifully. She's a natural.

Emily is exceptionally bright, responsible, caring and with a ready smile and laugh
lots of fun to be around.
Her natural curiosity has led her into exploring a whole host of physical
and spiritual additions she can bring to the yoga mat and to her lucky students.
I am so pleased to have been there from the start and it will be fun
to watch Emily's new yoga teacher career blossom !
