Emily is deeply committed to health, well being and achieving a greater living experience through yoga, ayurveda and meditation. Her classes encourage students to feel from within- sensing the subtleties of the practice and the unconscious habits of the body/mind complex. She teaches a slow flowing, dynamic style with attention to alignment helping students develop an awareness of the physical body. Her classes usually incorporate pranayama (breath work) and kriya meditation techniques which help students experience the deeper, more profound aspects of a yoga practice. These ingredients create a well -rounded, completeness to her classes. Her hope is that her students can learn to use these "tools" to transition an active mind or negative thought to a place of balance, calm, acceptance, and kindness. Emily is 200 hours (BWY trained) and has completed her 300 hour (Yoga Alliance) Advanced teacher training in ISHTA yoga under Katrina Repka. She continues to travel and study ISHTA under Katrina Repka, Yogiraj Alan Finger as well as Ayurvedic philosophy, with Dr A. R. Ramadas in Tamil Nadu, India.
