I am passionate about promoting health and wellbeing for the whole person and find yoga the most adaptable, efficient and enjoyable way of doing this. I believe wholeheartedly in the benefits of yoga for students of all ages, enjoy making the thing I most passionate about accessible to everyone.
With a background in Neuromuscular Therapy and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, I bring my knowledge of injury and biomechanics into my teaching, delivering alignment-based classes in a Hatha flow style. I love this style for its adaptability, giving me the space to bring in the stronger, longer holds of power yoga or the gentle, soothing postures of Yin and Restorative yoga - depending on the class or the students in front of me.
I teach a variety of group classes, including General, Core, Yin and Restorative, as well as Chair yoga, Seniors and Children's yoga classes. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoy - and specialise in - working with individuals to facilitate effective lifestyle changes. This includes assisting in the management of chronic musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction, and in implementing changes to effectively manage stress. I utilise my combined knowledge to devise structured and personalised yoga, therapeutic and rehabilitation programmes.
Trained in the Purna style of yoga, I align my teaching and business practices with the Astanga system of yoga.
Outside of yoga, I love spending time with my man and dogs, cooking, reading and taking in the beautiful nature around me in the Sunshine Coast of Australia. I also have a passion for the performing arts, enjoy putting pen to paper doing a bit of writing whenever I can, and learning, learning, learning.
I look forward to seeing you on the mat soon!
