Enma Twydell (Bikram/Power/Flow)

I have taken Emma's class in a number of locations (studio, beach) and styles (bikram, flow, power). She is a highly effective instructor due to the following elements:

more

- She is adaptable: Her instructions style fits to the size of the class/formality of the situation (for example in the mornings before work we have a condensed hour class which gets full and most of us want to do our exercise for the day and get to work. In these situations Emma instructs efficiently using predominantly words to guide us through our practice. Other classes where we are more relaxed she brings in further relaxing practices and increases the amount of individual attention/adjustments she gives.)
-She is very professional. The class is not about her but about us. She always ensures to know who the new yogis are and makes sure to remind them throughout the class to go at their own pace and observe their peers before attempting something difficult.
- She speaks very eloquently but firmly and makes you want to listen. She has a good voice. (it's a strange thing to say but a yoga instructor needs to have a good/calming voice because they are talking swiftly at you for an hour)
As for the yoga itself, I always feel motivated to push myself harder in her class and always leave feeling as though I have achieved something.

Thanks Emma!
