Erica’s passion as a teacher is helping beginner and novice yogis kick start their yoga journeys, cultivating clarity, strength, and confidence.
A dedicated student of yoga since 1999, Erica began her practice in the Iyengar tradition of yoga with a strict focus on precise anatomical alignment. Studying under Dariel Dipti Woltz, E-RYT 500 and lead teacher Francois Raoult, E-RYT 500 who has trained extensively under the great yogi Sri Iyengar cemented the importance of mastering the fundamentals in order to build a strong foundation and minimize risk of injury.
After moving to Brooklyn in 2002, she discovered her passion for the power vinyasa (flow) style of yoga at Jivamukti NYC. Utilizing the power of breath to flow through postures opened a new dimension of yoga. Strengthening the connection between movement and breath forever changed Erica’s practice and is the cornerstone of her teaching.
After moving to Charlotte with her husband and 3 children, Erica completed a 200 hour teacher training and fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a yoga teacher. Erica completed teacher training in May 2016 and Functional Anatomy with David Keil in December 2016. She is registered with Yoga Alliance.
