Erik started practicing Yoga in 2006 as a way of rebalancing the demands of his Life Sciences advisory business and hectic London life. What started as a physical practice became a journey of internal discovery. From a small town near Frankfurt/Main Erik lived in South America for a while and settled in London - a special place for him filled with art, music and people from all backgrounds and above all a place with endless possibilities.
Introduced to Jivamukti Yoga London by friends, his interest in mixing electronic dance music, marathon running and triathlon at the time translated rather magically into not only enjoying Jivamukti Yoga very much but also, after some time, making exploring Yoga philosophy part of his daily life.
Erik has been practicing for many years with his teachers Stewart Gilchrist, Emma Henry and Cat Alip-Douglas before going for Jivamukti Teacher Training in 2011. There he completed his 300 hour certification with David Life and Sharon Gannon who inspire his journey ever since on-the-mat and off-the-mat. Gratitude goes to all the teachers in his life for their commitment, inspiration and selfless action and to all who are and have been so very supportive and encouraging along the way.
