Erika Cooper has been practicing yoga for over half of her life at this point and couldn’t be more amazed at where the practice of yoga has brought her. She is an E-RYT-200 and her initial training was a blend of Anusara, Ashtanga, and Acro-Yoga, with a focus on serving students in a vinyasa practice. Later, she was introduced to Yin Yoga and fell in love with it, in the midst of a personal need to slow down and release. Thanks to that, she began to study with many incredible teachers who have helped to enrich all parts of her yoga teaching, including Lisa and Charles Matkin, Shiva Rea, and Master Paulie Zink. She is currently involved in her 500-hr teacher training with the Asheville Yoga Center and operating her own little loving slice of yoga called Elements Yoga in Bonita Springs, Fl. Her belief is that the eight limbs of yoga should be fulfilled for a complete yoga practice so expect to move, chant, sing, dance (if even only in your mind at first!), and offer your movement and breath to both the inner and outer Divinity that surrounds and inhabits each of us. Her enthusiasm for yoga is only outdone by her enthusiasm for learning and good French fries.
