The essence of an authentic Yoga practice is to provide students, athletes and companies with the tools for health and well-being As we mature in life, it's gets more challenging to be in our bodies, so the goal each day is to power up the body; to see things, hear things, to articulate things, and skill building so that the result is joy. The "asanas" (postures) root us in our bodies, stabilizing us, so that "pranayama" (breathing techniques) and other practices can lift us into a firmament of our "Dharma" and our true self.
The art of a good practice is to get the breath rate down, as well as proper nutrition, applied philosophy & meditation.
