Eva has been practicing yoga since 2006 and teaching since 2015. Through her extensive travels she has been privileged to practice with teachers from countries all over the world including the USA, Canada, Australia, Nepal, Germany, Spain, Argentina, Peru and her current home base South Africa. In addition to completing a 200hrs YTT in January 2015, Eva has done a 50hrs Anusara Yoga Teacher Training with BJ Galvan (May 2016), a Kids Yoga Teacher Training with Cayetana Rodenas (Oct 2016), an online course with YogaSynergy founders Simon Borg-Olivier and Bianca Machliss (May 2017).
Eva teaches a dynamic vinyasa yoga focused on breath awareness, alignment and mindful transitions between postures with the aim to create a safe space for beginners but also offer a challenge for experienced yoga practitioners.
"I started practicing yoga primarily as another form of physical exercise, looking to increase my flexibility and strength. But over the years, yoga has also become a powerful tool for self-discovery and transformation and I came to observe how the positive qualities I cultivated in my physical yoga practice were starting to take root in all other areas of my life. Through a consistent practice I have come to feel more at peace within my body, experience greater mental clarity and live with more discipline, mindfulness and compassion both for myself and the people around me.
What motivates me most to teach yoga is my desire to share the transformative power of yoga that I have experienced in my own life. I aim to create a nurturing and non-competitive environment for my students where they can feel comfortable to move their bodies and discover a greater sense of self-awareness."
