I have been practicing yoga since 1998, and learned to teach it at YogaLimbs (sadly since closed down) under the expert guidance of my teacher, Wanda Hewitt in Hong Kong in 2009. After qualifying I taught at Yogalimbs, Embody and Movement Improvement as well as private classes before moving back to the UK in 2012.
My journey has taken me from the Sivananda centre in Putney, through the Innergy centre in Kensal Green actively practicing through two pregnancies. Then to Hong Kong where as well as learning to teach I attended numerous workshops with wonderful teachers all helping me on my journey, most notably Seane Corn and Jason Crandell as well as David Life and many more, all have had a profound influence on my approach to yoga and teaching style. Earlier this year I was lucky enough to spend 10 days in France with Sarah Powers, deepening my knowledge of Yin yoga, mindfulness and Buddhism.
I have started teaching again after a couple of years off the teaching mat as a result of extremely difficult family circumstances; maintaining my personal practice to be mentally and emotionally strong during that time.
I have always liked to bring some humour and humility to my classes, with a strong belief that your practice should be enjoyable as well as mindful and may bring more energy, peace, a healthier body and mind, whatever it is that brings you to the mat on that day.
I teach both Vinyasa flow classes and Yin classes every week in the local area.
