Hello and welcome!

My aim is to bring the benefits of yoga to as many communities as possible. I strongly believe that yoga should be available to those who want and need it, rather than simply those who can afford it.

For these reasons I teach yoga in a number of settings with different pricing structures and funding support. They include -

- Community classes in halls/studios (with support/funding of local authorities)

- Teen yoga and mindfulness classes in schools and academies (funding is possible for this via Sport England)

- Corporate/workplace classes (there are a number of funding/subsidy options)

- Breath awareness meditation classes (low income options available)

Community is very important to me, personally and professionally. I am part of a supportive network of yoga, meditation and teen yoga teachers and so if you want something that I can't offer (or live outside of London), I can find a perfect alternative teacher for you!

My yoga style is dynamic hatha, which is another way of saying mindful flowing movement. Each class is based on a theme which is accessible to all, and no one is ever left behind because, as I constantly say; 'there are always options'!

I trained with YogaCampus in Islington, north London, which is one of the UK's top yoga schools. This is an 18-month course and I chose it for the space it gives to hone your teaching skills, study and grow. I continue to do that by attending regular trainings. In 2016, I spent two months in India practising with different teachers.

I am also an accredited teen yoga and mindfulness teacher, taught by the UK's internationally-renowned Teen Yoga UK. I volunteer with the Teen Yoga Foundation, the charity arm of Teen Yoga UK, doing media work and running conference workshops. Privately, I support the work of Mind, the mental health charity, raising funds via running marathons and climbing mountains. I'm not as active as that sounds though!

Another string to my (peaceful :) ) bow is teaching meditation. As a Traditional Yoga meditation teacher, the technique that I teach is based on awareness of the natural breath. If you complete one of our courses, you will receive a downloadable recording for your home practice and also access to further support.

And finally ... I combine teaching yoga with a career as a freelance health journalist and communications expert. Over the course of my journalism career, I have produced articles and multimedia content packages for patients, healthcare professionals and policymakers.
