My Friday class at One Life Studio is a Hatha based Vinyasa Flow class for all levels of practitioner. The class usually begins with turning inwards and tuning into the breath with prananyama, followed by a series of postures to warm up. The class has an anatomical focus in that it is geared towards an anatomical focus, such as releasing neck and shoulders. This is coupled with a philosophical theme, relating to the Yamas/Niyamas or another limb of yoga. The class is dynamic, opening, releasing and strengthening, intertwined with the stream of the breath for a calm focussed class. A lovely meditative relaxation at the end of the class leaves students relaxed yet refreshed, ready for the weekend!
The Saturday pregnancy class is for all students from complete beginners, to seasoned practitioners. It is a dynamically flowing class aimed at releasing stiffness & tension to create a sense of openess and space for you and baby. The use of visualisation and breath awareness helps to deepen a sense of relaxation to feel nourished and nurtured. Pregnancy yoga is a lovely way to connect to others and take time out for you.
