Francis is born and raise in Penang, Malaysia. At the age of 22, he decided to join a health club after been advised by doctor that he was physically unhealthy and way overweight. He lost over 50lbs of weight after 6 months of hard work attending Les Mills group fitness classes on a daily basis and subsequently thought that he should share his success with the community and take up his first certification becoming an instructor.
2 years after working with an international chain health club, he decided to leave home and ventured over to London to further improve his skills and widen his experience. He managed to get a job with a well established health company where Diana, Princess of Wales used to go to further enhanced his teaching skills in the West.
In winter 2006. he was offered a position with a prestigious Country Club in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates where the club is owned and operated by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and established a strong working relationship within the club's members made up of royal families as well as expatriates from all over the world.
While enjoying his career in Abu Dhabi, he was also selected by Les Mills Middle East agency as one of their National Trainers, Presenters and Assessors for the region. Late 2009, Francis left the country club and joined another international chain health club and posted over to Amman, Jordan to lead over 60 instructors as Senior Manager and had also subsequently worked with Les Mills Mediterranean (Lebanon & Egypt) to continue his expertise as a National Trainer and Presenter. During his stay in Jordan, he had also conducted 4 yoga retreats in Wadi Feynan, Dead Sea & Red Sea.
After returning home in Mid 2012, he led a brand new 24 hours health club as Club General Manager and now starting his very own group fitness studio to fulfill his long awaited dream and has always love the nature and peaceful place to reside in and finally thought of Pulau Langkawi as his perfect destination to settle down.
Francis is internationally certified to teach BODYATTACK, BODYBALANCE, BODYCOMBAT, BODYJAM, BODYPUMP, BODYSTEP, BODYVIVE, SH'BAM, RPM, YOGA, YOGASWING, SWING FITNESS, TRX, BOSU BALANCE-TRAINER, ZUMBA as well as a Pesonal Trainer.
