A born and raised Ukrainian, I've lived for about 10 years in the Netherlands. My acquittance with yoga started from around the moment I moved to NL, but I only started getting deeper into it some 4 years back. I've been looking for ways to get rid of my stress-related shoulder pain back then and yoga helped me greatly against it. I was so enthusiastic about this effect that I couldn't but share it with others, so I followed a teacher training and started teaching. Now that I've been teaching for a year, I find it such a truly rewarding experience! Seeing people getting reconnected to their bodies and becoming healthier and happier because of it fills me up with energy and joy!
The yoga form that I practice and teach is called Anusara. It is a modern style of hatha yoga that combines a heart-oriented Tantric philosophy with Universal Principles of Alignment based on the biomechanics of the body. Anusara teachers are highly skilled in applying its elegant technique to each individual’s needs while taking us to new, exciting places in our practice. Every class is also taught with a theme. In that way you are learning about philosophy and history of yoga while doing your asanas.
