For the 2 1/2 decades I have been on my journey practicing YOGA it has helped me on a personal level to overcome issues including depression, addiction, weight management and a myriad of injuries, but most importantly it has introduced me to a profound connection to self-love that I have been missing throughout my life so far on this planet! This evolution of myself has inspired me to create this very personal, safe, effective YOGA style bringing Quonny Yoga to the community.
Fitness has always been my interest. For over 25 years I have practiced and studied Martial Arts, American Kempo, Tae Kwon Do, swing dancing, running ,weight lifting and stationary cycling (spin). Always knowing my yoga practice was healing injuries I did not pay attention to. I had many injuries I did not address until I realized Yoga is the only way to bring wellness & vitality into my body - In 2007 I received my E-RYT-500hr. Yoga Teaching certification. I decided to begin taking more workshops with Yoga Masters, Brian Kest, Barron Baptiste, Tias Little & Ana Forrest.
In 2010 Yoga Master Ana Forrest invited me to assist her world wide, teaching at Yoga Journal conferences in San Francisco, New York City, nationally and internationally at yoga trainings in Korea, Singapore, Shanghai, Africa, England, Berlin, Amsterdam, Austria, Italy, Syria, Canada, Wanderlust festivals in the United States and Hong Kong. At these trainings I assisted Ana Forrest teaching seasoned teachers how to teach more skillfully. Also hands on assists, safer ways of holding poses and how to use breath to deepen, heal and bring more wellness into their bodies so they can become better teachers. Still just settling down from that wild spin traveling and learning so much from Yoga Master & Healer Ana Forrest, I decided to share with students what I have learned from the How to practice safe, effective methods of yoga to heal, improve and restore life in your body, and bring more wellness, breath, and vitality into your body through my teaching method of yoga. Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (at the Quonochontaug Grange), Charlestown, RI and Mondays in Cranston, RI. Classes are great for beginners to advanced.
All will benefit from my teaching.
