Sixteen years ago, I started practicing Yoga and it has always been a companion in my life working in a stressful Business environment. Eventually, she consciously decided to change my life path and completed a 200 hour RYT certification in Vinyasa Yoga with Maryam Ovissi and Jafar Alexander at BelovedYoga.
I draw my inspiration for a Vinyasa Flow style from my experience in dance and other Yoga lineages such as Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara and mainly the teachings of Sri Krishnamacharya. My Vinyasa Flow style focuses on experiencing the asanas with your breath within the alignment of your body, which creates the stability and strength, the sthira as known as the 'steadiness and alertness' (Yoga Sutra 2.46), and in the feeling, the sweetness of 'remaining comfortable in a posture' (Yoga Sutra 2.46), also known as sukha. Experiencing this balance in our Yoga practice and take it 'off our mat' in our daily lives. In my private sessions I focus more on Yoga Therapy taught by my teachers Mohan and Indra Mohan. I have learned in the past years that happiness and contentment starts with working within ourselves first and being a student for our From doing to being!
