I have been practicing yoga for many years and was a middle school social studies teacher for 30 years. As I approached retirement, I decided to train as a yoga instructor in order to combine my love of teaching with my love of yoga. It has been a rewarding and ongoing journey. I introduced yoga classes in my school for teachers and students. Teaching yoga classes for my granddaughter's Girl Scout Troop over several years was most enjoyable. I am available for private yoga sessions for small groups and individuals. I earned a 500 hour teaching certificate at the Yoga Studio in Millis, MA. Currently, I teach at the Norfolk Senior Center, Encompass Fitness, and the Yoga Studio. I believe that the practice of yoga has a very positive effect on maintaining balance within the scope of everyday life.
