Gretchen Schock empowers students through creative exploration of yoga to achieve balance and enhance their quality of life. She first discovered yoga in 1999 while living in New York City. The hustle and bustle in the crowded city that never sleeps led Gretchen into a yoga class with the promise of personal space the size of her yoga mat. Yoga has guided Gretchen through addiction, natural childbirth and recently breast cancer. Gretchen infuses her love of yoga and dance to connect with the Divine Source through her vinyasa flow practice, reminding students to Embrace Life!
Gretchen has been inspired and trained by master teachers; Shana Meyerson, Seane Corn, Faith Hunter, Kim Manfredi and Dana Trixie Flynn. She received her 200 RYT from Embrace Your Flow with Faith Hunter and her 500 RYT from Charm City Yoga with Kim Manfredi. Gretchen received her certification to teach children through MiniYogis with Shana Meyerson. She also holds a BA in Musical Theatre with a Dance minor from Point Park University (Pittsburgh, PA).
Gretchen believes in fostering a safe and nurturing environment for students of all levels to explore their yoga practice. She is an experienced teacher with over 1,000 hours of teaching yoga classes under her belt. Gretchen is the owner of the Bee Yoga Fusion yoga studio and is best known for her challenging adult vinyasa yoga classes and fun-filled children’s classes.
