Having retired from 15 years of working for the NHS as a Public Health Community Nurse/Health Visitor, facilitated courses for child care professionals on preventing childhood obesity (for HENRY, a national training organisation based in Oxford), and backpacking around most of the world for 10 months with my husband, I decided to take my love of yoga to the next level, and qualified as a yoga teacher in 2016. I am a registered and insured yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance.
Now in my early sixties, I have enjoyed practising yoga in various forms for over 25 years, and always take my yoga mat with me wherever I travel. I am happy to say I continue to love it and practice more than ever these days, as I believe it is such a great way to keep strong and flexible, not to mention happy, as we get older.
I teach two classes every Tuesday, in a very special venue: an old, converted barn in Little Wittenham, with soft lighting and candles, underfloor heating and a wonderful peaceful atmosphere. My classes are max 10 people, men and women, ages from 16 to 60's. I also regularly cover classes for other yoga teachers, and do some private yoga sessions.
