I walked into my first Yoga class 13 years ago and was instantly captured by the practice. Over the years Yoga has helped me become stronger physically, mentally and emotionally. It has helped me gain a deeper understanding of myself and has brought calm, peace and acceptance with what life presents to me. This didn't happen over night and it continues to be a work in it's a lovely journey to be on and it's why I wanted to teach.
I qualified as a Hatha Yoga teacher with the British School of Yoga in 2015 but want to learn more and deepen my knowledge and understanding for myself and other students.
I continue to learn and study and I've been fortunate to practice under the guidance of wonderful teachers over the years. I began a further 200 hour training in the Gitananda tradition of Classical Hatha Yoga in 2016 at the Yoga Satsanga Ashram in Carmarthenshire and I've weave these teachings into my own practice and classes.
I have just embarked on my 500 hour training to deepen knowledge and my practice.
I teach with joy and lots of humour and like to vary my class plans, listening to the needs of my students, the phase of the moon and the changing seasons. No week is the same but there's enough familiarity and repetition of key postures to develop your own practice and gain confidence to continue your own practice at home. Pranayama and relaxation is in every session with an element of guided meditation too.
Everyone is welcome to class no matter what your age, experience or ability. Just bring a smile, willingness to let go and desire to feel lovely!
