I love Yoga! And Yoga outdoors, in nature is bliss to me!
I love connecting with my body and releasing what doesn't belong there! Yoga has helped me heal and release so much. It has given me a deeper understanding of my body and myself, showing me something new every time I step onto the mat.
I have been blessed to teach Yoga on the beach, outdoors, in studios, health clubs, hotels all around the world, from England to Australia, in Thailand, Bali, Costa Rica, Panama and Mexico too. And just as my personal practice, I learn something new each time I teach, whether to individuals, couples or groups, every class is unique and each student has given me something new to learn, being some of my greatest teachers.
My foundation is based in science. I had a natural affinity to biology and the body from an early age; nature came later, and when it did so did Yoga and my understanding of energy and intuition!
I practiced yoga for a few years in Bali, in gyms, with home videos and at the Sivananda centre in Putney, London before I took my teacher training. Then in 2004, after leaving my pharmaceutical career I decided it was time for me to follow heart and fly to Santa Barbara, California to do my Yoga Teacher Training. I had found the training centre in a magazine article I had held onto for 7 years and when I opened it up all those years later and looked at all the centers listed I knew I had to do my training at The White Lotus Foundation with Ganga White & Tracey Rich. And so I did and received my RYT 200.
In the same year I went onto Los Angeles to study with Erich Schiffman at Sacred Movement to add RYT 38. But I wanted to know more so to deepen my practice I bought a pass and attended every class I could at Scared Movement with other highly esteemed teachers too, including Matthew Cohen, Simon Borg-Oliver, Saul David Raye, Max Strom, Micheline Berry & Shiva Rea, gratefully receiving more knowledge and experiencing their wisdom.
