I began my yoga in 1998 while in college at East Carolina. I wanted to keep my flexibility from years of competitive gymnastics. While at ECU I taught group fitness and received my degree in Exercise Physiology. I then moved to Portland, OR where I received my Doctor of Chiropractic. While in Portland I began taking Bikram, Ashtanga, and vinyasa. I was teaching group fitness classes and began teaching Hatha yoga in 2002. After graduating from Western States Chiropractic College (now University of Western States) I moved home to NC and continued to teach group fitness and Hatha yoga. In 2011 I finished my first YTT and became a RYT-200.
