I am a Berlin based Vinyasa and Hatha Flow teacher who loves to travel, explore, hang upside down, dance and play.
After travelling and teaching Yoga for the past three years in Australia, India and Bali, I am now calling Berlin my home again.
In my classes I combine the playful, creative elements of Vinyasa Flow with the precision of traditional Hatha Yoga, integrating short but powerful breathing and meditation exercises. My classes are dynamic and versatile with options for all levels. No matter if you can roll yourself up into a Pretzel or barely touch your toes, I want you leaving the classroom energised and happy with yourself exactly the way you are.
I started my yoga journey twelve years ago. After my first class when I was a teenager I thought "this is not for me", I found it simply awkward although I did like the Savasana. Years later, at college I decided to give it another try and it helped me to relax and made me a little more flexible, but still no big match. But something kept calling me back on the mat.
That was the beginning of years of wild experimenting with all sorts of yoga styles and approaches, realising how much there is to learn. I always loved the more dynamic, yang, yoga styles like Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, and Power Yoga, that link movement and breath, quieting the mind.
Finally I decided that I want to share the joy and grounding that yoga brings me with other people. And where is a better place to start learning more about the ancient roots of yoga than right at the source?
So I went to India for 7 months and did my RYT 500 Certification in Rishikesh at the wonderful Yog Peeth School. After my 3 months of teacher training I continued to travel through India, teaching yoga on the go and ended up in Mysore where I had the opportunity to practice Ashtanga Yoga with Ajay Kumar. I have so much love and gratitude for this humbling system that allows you to work on your being like no other.
I did my advanced teacher training with Denise Payne in Bali. I love the the spirit of this magical island and go back as often as I can. I admire Denise's style, it is honest kick ass power yoga that combines the modern aspects of yoga with its ancient roots.
I can't wait to share my love for yoga with as many beautiful beings out there as possible!
Oh and there is one more thing: TRUST THE YOGA :)
