Irene’s love of yoga began over 25 years ago. After her many years of practice, she decided to take the next step on her journey by completing her 200 hour yoga teacher certification at The School Yoga Institute in the practice of Sadhana Yoga. Sadhana translated means spiritual practice and this is what drew Irene to delving deeper into her personal knowledge and practice of yoga. Sadhana Yoga has two primary flows, a Sadhana Hatha Flow which is a slower, more meditative sequence inspired by the Sivananda tradition and a Sadhana Vinyasa Flow which is a faster, heat building practice inspired by the Ashtanga tradition. Both sequences make for a well-rounded practice. Irene is also inspired by Kripalu yoga, having practiced it for over a decade and Yin Yoga, having studied with Biff Mithoefer. Irene enjoys the meditation of a daily asana practice and when not on the mat, incorporates yoga into life as an artist, wife, mother and all that a busy life in this modern world entails.
