Isaac Tecosky is a student and teacher of Dharma Yoga. Currently he is working to get his 500 hour teaching certification, and has been trained at the 200 hour level in Dharma Yoga.
In addition, he holds two 200 hour certifications in Vinyasa Yoga from Sonic Yoga and Brooklyn Yoga Project.
On any given day you will find Isaac teaching Dharma Yoga, heated Vinyasa, Power Flow, traditional Hatha,, and Yin on some days, a mixture of all of it. Above all, though, his intention as a teacher is to hold space for students to glance the Divine within. The quest to know ourselves requires effort, at times a little angry determination. We can find all of that in the ethical rules and physicality of Yoga.
Fortunately, Isaac's teachers and mentors instilled in him the profound importance of serving others from a place of empathy and love. He has certification to teach Trauma Based Yoga from Liberation Prison Yoga. Isaac put this training to work teaching yoga at the MDC jail in Manhattan. He is currently working with United We Om and the Osborne Foundation teaching the philosophy of yoga and meditation to teens who have a parent(s) currently or formerly incarcerated.
Put all together, from gyms to jails and Yin to yang, you can expect a thoughtful, supportive, interesting and challenging class incorporating all aspects of Isaac's training.
