Ita's curiosity for yoga drew her to her first class over 10 years ago. In 2007, after the birth of her first son, Ita completed her 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher training and immediately became a full time yoga instructor. In 2008, she and her husband purchased Carpenter Bros. Hardware, a local hardware store on the North side of Ann Arbor. She continued teaching yoga while also working alongside her husband and in 2010, the opportunity to open Ita Yoga Studio across from the hardware store presented itself. Her passion for teaching grows with each moment she gets to pass on the benefits of this amazing practice. Her teaching style is inspired by the foundations of Ashtanga yoga. In her personal practice, her focus rests on the connection to the inner self by achieving a meditative like state when moving to the rhythm of the breath. She presents her classes in a non-judgmental environment where everyone feels welcomed to leave inhibitions behind and truly focus on the present moment.
In her classes you will breathe, you will sweat, you will feel & you will grow.
