Jackie is a Clinical Psychologist who works in the areas of anxiety, depression, and stress. Having completed her PhD in the area of chronic illness, Jackie has a special interest in reducing the impact of stress on the body and the mind. With experience across prevention, early intervention and therapy, Jackie works from a strengths-based approach to promote resilience, self-regulation skills, healthy relationships and social and emotional wellbeing.
As a musician, Jackie has a specific interest in the role of creativity, mindfulness and the arts in therapy. Her practice draws together talking therapies with body-oriented and creative approaches to enhance social and emotional wellbeing. Jackie has developed creative arts and mindfulness programs for schools, hospitals, mental health clinics and families.
Jackie started her personal journey with yoga and mindfulness 10 years ago and has been playing music since her early years. Having originally studied classical piano and violin, Jackie has sung and played with a range of indie/folk acoustic musicians across Perth. Jackie has a passion for community music and is a strong advocate of the health benefits offered by creativity and the arts.
