Jacqueline Nicole Jackson, aka the Karma Yoga Scribe, offers yoga and freelance writing together or separate. The playful reference “The Karma Yoga Scribe” sums up Jackie’s mission statement.
Karma yoga is the yoga of service and as a journalist she is a scribe who loves to share the teachings, poses and benefits. True to Mother Theresa’s adage that “Work is love made visible,” she feels that love can be experienced as an expansive, healing energy and so she hopes to “share the love” through the disciplines of yoga and spread it in person or print.
With 12 years experience as a yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) and a Level I yoga therapist (IYAT,) she offers yogic teachings on different levels. As a Wilton- based teacher she provides private and group instruction from beginner to advanced. As a writer with eight years experience, she is adept at writing articles, features and copywriting on and offline, in newspaper and magazines.
As a yoga therapy student and teacher, she has a background in social work and crisis intervention. Jackie’s passion is to help others by sharing the science, as a path to realization. She is fascinated with empowering students to tune into their innate intelligence and in meeting them right where they are.
