I've been practicing yoga for over 16 years, since 2000. My heart met Ashtanga Yoga in 2007 during my Yoga Teacher Training with Di Tyssen and I have been in love with the practice ever since.
It wasn't until 2010 when I met my Ashtanga Teachers Greg Nardi and Tim Feldmann that I really began to understand what this ashtanga business was all about.
About 3 years later in 2013, I made my first pilgrimage to Mysore, India to study under the guidance of Sharath Jois . Little did I know that this would be the first of many more trips to come.
During that first trip in Mysore, I discovered a new love for the practice. I'm talking about beyond the physical realm of asana. I t was passion and compassion. Something I already had, but now it had been accelerated. Since I've been on this path, life seems to run a bit smoother.
Don't get me wrong - it has it's moments! A reminder that change is impermanence and adaptation is acceptance. This is where growth happens and passion flourishes.
Life move so fast, so if you don't slow down, you might miss out on something great! Outside of daily practice I enjoy hiking, cycling, paddleboarding, beach time, art music, cooking, reading, traveling, hanging with friends, and spending time with my cat, Shakti.
