My name is Jahnava Sundari, I am half Indian, half Italian.
My mother was an open minded Italian hippie from the sixties, and my father was a South Indian sadhu who was a great practitioner of yoga in its different aspects. This combination made me witness from a very young age lots of diversity in my life. My childhood in India marked deep signs of compassion within me because of witnessing so much anguish in the world. I myself underwent deep struggles, which lead me to a strong understanding of the spirit of being a warrior in this sacred battle of life. Since then, I always wanted to dedicate my life and soul to help the people of this world and find a way how to make them experience and find themselves and lasting happiness.
Mahatma Gandhi used to say: 'start changing yourself, if you want to change the life around you'. Thus started my yoga journey when I was still very young, leading me to many paths and deepened my knowledge into the science of yoga. At the age of 18 I was a serious bhakti yoga practitioner and lived the life of a yogi and am still continuing in this path. I lived in many ashrams or spiritual communities around the world while practicing a strict sadhana, or spiritual practice.
I got my 200h and 500h Yoga Teacher Training (YTTC) in Rishikesh, another 500h YTTC in Dallas,USA and since then I have been teaching in various places around the world: Italy, Belgium, India, New York, Atlanta, Croatia, and London. I have also lectured on the different topics of Yoga and life in many of these places.
My hunger to heal people on the different levels (physical, mental and spiritual), lead me to get level 1, 2 and master in Usui and Karuna Reiki. I also got a stronger foundation in the theory and practice of Ayurveda. In the mean time I deepened my passion for kirtans, mantras and the ancient Vedic knowledge. Recently I graduated from my university studies in ‘Vaisnava Theology and Religious studies’ from the Chester University (UK) and have thus obtained a highly qualified academic understanding of the modern and ancient spiritual practices around the world and the history of Yoga within all that.
. I wish to share this new story of my life with all of you and I personally invite you to become a part of Cintamani Yoga and grow together in the experience of transformation and evolution.
With great love and affection.
Your aspiring servant,
