I have been teaching Sugi Yoga since 2004 in and around Pleasant Hill, CA. Sugi Yoga is a comfort-based style of yoga that uses gentle movements within the postures to explore the body and naturally allow asana to improve as the body responds. This method is quite effective and very safe not only for those who are physically limited, but for those who are very athletic as well.
Having spent 30 years in various aspects of the horticulture industry, I am deeply committed to organic and sustainable gardening and honoring and protecting the living organism that is our home - Earth. I am a trained naturalist and lead garden yoga classes and yoga nature hikes around Contra Costa and Alameda Counties as well as indoor classes at Windbell Center in Pleasant Hill, CA.
