After a long history of playing competitive contact sports like water polo and rugby, Jane found her way toward gentler modes of moving her body and breath through yoga and dance during her first year at university in 2007. Yoga helped her rehabilitate old sports injuries, stay grounded, and cultivate a clearer, more peaceful approach to the everyday. To deepen her understanding of meditation, philosophy, and yoga therapy, Jane spent three months in an intensive 500-hour Hatha yoga teacher training program in Rishikesh, India. Jane’s yoga classes, which are rooted in breath work, safe alignment, and space for self-exploration, often incorporate energy healing and astrological wisdom. Her teaching style is both playful and supportive. She focuses strongly on cultivating kindness toward oneself both in thought and action and respecting one’s present abilities. Jane also works as a Reiki Master, blending Traditional Japanese Reiki, Tibetan shamanism, and Vedic energy work with crystal, sound, and color therapy. Her interests in painting, astrology, tarot, storytelling, and writing complement her work as a healer.
She teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Kids Yoga.
