I am a co-steward of Gracetree, Yoga and Growth Studio, and am committed to preserving Gracetree’s original mission of providing an uplifting environment for those on a journey of self-discovery. My passion is to merge my Western psychotherapy training with the complementary and alternative practices of yoga and Reiki. I am excited about this paradigm shift in understanding that most issues are non-dualistic and impact the mind-body-spirit. I am refining My awareness that when more elements of the mind-body-spirit network are addressed, we are more fully healed. I find that my function in each of the roles I embody is to advance and encourage self-compassion and self-empowerment.
I am a 200-hour registered yoga instructor, a Reiki practitioner, and co-founder of Nest Yoga School. In addition, I am a mental health therapist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and am continuing my yoga training both formally as part of a 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training with Sangha Yoga studio, completing in July 2015, and informally through my own personal ongoing study. Yoga found its way into my life 14 years ago when I attended a retreat at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. From that point forward, I was captivated by the healing of embodiment through yoga.
I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service and received post-graduate training in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at Fordham. I received additional training from the Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in White Plains, New York. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Business Administration from Iona College.
I live in Liberty Twp., OH with my husband, Tony and my cat, Coco.
