Jaye is a restorative yoga & somatic movement teacher, writer & researcher. She is also a 'spoonie' (a person living with a chronic illness) & has developed a therapeutic somatic approach to restorative & recovery yoga practice.
Her training includes Iyengar Yoga, Body-Mind Centering, Contemporary Dance, Dance Therapy, Somatic Movement, Somatic Meditation, Embodied Anatomy, Embodied Ecology & Creative Arts Therapy.
Jaye’s work is infused with her refined somatic sensitivity, her depth of insight from many years of study & practice, & her experience of learning to live well with chronic illness.
She teaches from a place of embodied knowledge; sharing the creativity, curiosity, compassion, dedication & humour that she has cultivated in her practice.
She is grateful to be well enough to support others in meeting the challenges of living with chronic illness & to guide them gently, patiently & persistently towards alignment with wellbeing.
Jaye is passionate about creating restorative retreat experiences in nature, bringing awareness to our deep connection with all living things. She locates her somatic teachings within the healing energy of the natural environment & delights in guiding people to move mindfully & joyfully in their bodies & on the earth.
