I started going to yoga classes in 2000, when I was suffering with stress, depression and several physical health problems, including a bad back. I had been working in a computer/desk job in the civil service for many years and it had taken its toll. My way back to health wasn't easy, nor was it an overnight transformation but after a year of regular yoga I started to feel different - more relaxed, more confident, with a healthier attitude to myself and my life. I began teaching yoga for Blackpool and Fylde College in 2004 and have added to my yoga with holistic therapies and practices. I studied with the British Wheel of Yoga, the British School of Yoga, and Dru Yoga, hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education specialising in yoga, attended many retreats and travelled to India with Mantra Master Muz Murray who has given me his blessing to teach in his style (although I do add in some of my own!), and am a member of the Independent Yoga Network. I am based in St Annes on Sea and teach small groups and private clients. My experience to date has led me to a person centred approach to yoga where you become your own teacher - classes focus on you listening to your body, mind and emotions to find out what works best for you, for you to find comfort, peace and bliss here and now :)
