Me and Yoga
I have been practising yoga in some shape or form for years, knowing it or not my heart has always been drawn to the yogic lifestyle. Through my own yoga practice I have beaten my own body image demons to lead a healthy and happy lifestyle.
Yoga to me is so much more than being super bendy and doing crazy inversions. It is about uncovering who you really are, it is about being kind to yourself so that you can then be kind to others and live your life with a sense of compassion and gratitude. Leading with your heart. I have learnt to eat mindfully and listen to what my body needs ~ I am no longer at war with my body.
With a new found confidence and my passion for inspiring others I took a leap of faith and under took my 200 hour yoga teacher training with Mercedes Ngoh (Yeotown, Devon and TriYoga London), one of yoga’s most respected Vinyasa Flow Yoga teachers. I am passionate about yoga and regularly take workshops and master classes as often as I can. In deepening my own yoga practice I aim to bring balance and knowledge to my teaching. I am a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance UK and Yoga Alliance. I am also fully insured and first aid trained.
Yoga Teaching Style
My focus is to teach holistic Vinyasa Flow classes with thoughtful sequencing and mindful breathing. I encourage students to turn their gaze inward during their practice, to connect with mind, body and breath – to create a moving meditation. I like to create classes with playful sequencing and approach classes with honesty and humour. My classes are open to all levels.
