When I started, I could never imagine myself doing yoga. I was stiff, clumsy and disdained all physical activity. Somehow I kept coming back for the mental effects, the lightness and space that opened up through practice. Eventually the physical came around. Since 2007, I have practiced daily and have been teaching in NYC and Boston since 2013. I am a student of Patricia Walden and Carrie Owerko. Before moving to Los Angeles, I spent a year studying in-depth with Patricia Walden and assisting her weekly classes. I have also traveled to Pune to study with the Iyengar family. The most important thing we learn in yoga is observation, and in Iyengar yoga, alignment is the way to deepen the power of observation and become more fully embodied.
