Born and Raised in New York City, USA. Since he can remember Jeff has followed his passion for Art & cultures of the world. An early fascination with meditation lead him to explore different contemplative traditions. He has had the good fortune to meet, study, and practice with many exceptional teachers. In 2005 Jeff completed a 200hr Hatha Yoga training. For the last 14 years he has been studying and practicing Tibetan Buddhism and Dzogchen directly with renowned master Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche. His interest in Dzogchen, and in a form of physical yoga that corresponds with this study and practice, led him to Yantra Yoga and the great master of this tradition Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, who along with senior instructors Fabio Andrico, and Laura Evangelisti, authorized Jeff to teach First Level Yantra in 2013. In 2014 Jeff received certification to teach Harmonious Breathing from Fabio Andrico.
About Yantra Yoga:
Yantra Yoga, the Tibetan Yoga of Movement, an authentic and living tradition, is one of the oldest recorded and practiced systems of yoga in the world. This ancient system is based on the text The Union of the Sun and the Moon, written in the 8th century by the master and translator Vairocana, passed down in an unbroken lineage since that time, and transmitted to the West in the 1970’s by the Dzogchen master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu. Yantra Yoga works with the three aspects of our existence, body, breath, and mind simultaneously. It utilizes a unique series of positions and movements which, when combined with conscious breathing, harmonize our energy and allow the mind to relax and rest in its natural condition.
