Jehan Izhar (also known as Jypsy) is a world traveler, aerial circus performer, and physical performance coach. She has been dedicated to the study of human movement and theatrical performance since she was a child- her lifelong studies and travels have given her the opportunity to be a competitive martial artist, theatre director, personal trainer, yoga teacher, rehabilitative exercise specialist, aerial circus & burlesque performer, and motivational/performance coach. She has taught in the kinesiology department at UC Santa Barbara and Cal State Fullerton and she runs teacher training programs for yoga, pole, and aerial arts. In addition to teaching and performing, she specializes in working with clients one-on-one for injury rehabilitation and performance enhancement. Her methods are hand on, holistic, effective ~ and always fun!
Jypsy is passionate, creative, knowledgeable, and straight-forward; she is known for thinking outside the box and not taking herself too seriously. After 10 years of teaching, performing, & coaching around the world, she opened her performing arts studio, “Jypsy’s” in the summer of 2016, in Upland California ~ She offers a variety of dance classes, specialized yoga courses, pole & aerial lessons, and one-on-one yoga therapy/bodywork sessions.
