Jen officially discovered yoga in 2006 while working as a television producer in Los Angeles. After a friend randomly invited her to a yoga class at UStudio on Wilshire Blvd, her life was forever changed. As she awkwardly found herself in her very first down dog, trying desperately to feel out the right pose, something began to click. She realized there was a lot at work within her own unique body (and mind) and so much room to grow and flourish.
After this realization she had a strong desire to explore various yoga styles. Through these yoga explorations, she has come to love the freedom and also structured intensity of vinyasa asana, which is where her teaching style is rooted. She moved to in 2011 and got certified with an intensive 200 hour teacher training at Hot Yoga Studio (now Yoga Fusion), then in 2015 Jen added to her yoga repertoire with an advanced 300hr training (Shades of Yoga in Bali), making her a 500 EYT with Yoga Alliance. Jen is also a Yin Yoga certified teacher with Sarah Powers' Insight Yoga Institute.
Jen has recently relocated to Princeton with her husband after nearly 4 years as an expat in Abu Dhabi. She had the honor and privilege to teach yoga full time to an ever growing community of expats and locals, learning and appreciating so much in the process.
Jen invites students to relax and rejuvenate or flourish & energize depending on what one's own mind and body needs; to find effortlessness and ease; to find support where we can give our self permission to embrace joy and to have fun and to play in our body. Most importantly, she looks forward to continue to grow and learn from her fellow truly enjoy every part of the journey!
