In addition to being a yoga teacher, I am a PhD Epidemiologist. I spent years sitting in an office, studying lifestyle factors related to health and disease. As a regular yoga student, I became increasingly aware of the power of yoga to promote overall physical and mental wellness, as well as life balance, for anyone willing to give it a try. It is a unique form of physical activity that can be beneficial for people of all ages and level of physical ability, and as such, everyone should have access. Yoga has been absolutely transformational for me. In early 2013, I made the decision to leave my full-time academic faculty position. Now, my daily focus for me and those that I teach is on wellness, empowerment, and happiness - right here in the moment. This switch, combined with my background, now gives me both time and a unique perspective, and I am thrilled to share the infinite potential and possibilty that yoga holds for you.
