Jennifer Waterbury Beaumont
is the owner/director of the Iyengar Yoga Center of Grand Rapids. She has been studying and practicing yoga in the Iyengar lineage for two decades. A Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher at the Intermediate Jr. 2 level, she has studied with Iyengar, and his daughter, Geeta Iyengar, and son, Prashant Iyengar, in Pune, India and in the She continues her studies with Advanced teachers, (direct students of Yogacharya Sri Iyengar) Manouso Manos, and Laurie Blakeney, with whom she began her study of Iyengar yoga in her late teens to address chronic pain and anxiety. Jennifer was the second youngest teacher to become a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher in the United States, and the first CIYT in West Michigan. She practiced and taught Iyengar yoga through healthy pregnancies & home births, under the guidance of Manouso, Laurie and the Iyengar family, Jennifer has become an authoritative teacher for women undergoing the transformative experiences of pregnancy & birth & motherhood. A dedicated student of Manouso Manos, Jennifer has learned to take care of her pains through her yoga practice, and to help others heal from injury and practice to manage chronic health conditions. Intense practice has brought her health and insight and continues to reveal new light. She is dedicated to sharing the transformative power of yoga practice. She inspires students to overcome physical & mental limitations through the tools gained in regular study in classes and developed through the power of practice.
