I discovered yoga during a retreat celebrating a friend’s birthday. We arrived on Sunday and the only class they offered was Restorative Yoga so we went. An extraordinarily pregnant woman, who looked like she had stretched, flexed and extended to her capacity walked in. She was the teacher. As we lay on our mats, she instructed us to BREATHE. For whatever reason, at that particular moment, at that particular place and at that particular time that was what I needed. It was the permission to release, to restore, to let it all go. I was hooked. A year later I quit my gym membership and dedicated myself to developing my yoga practice, taking it from the mat and into my life. I completed my YTT 200 hour teacher training in 2014. I became the owner of the Cohasset Yoga Center in 2014 and teach a Yoga Flow, vinyasa-style class on Tuesday and Fridays at 8am.
