I have been practicing yoga for many years. A chronic back condition led me to pursue yoga teacher training – mainly, to explore how yoga could help manage the pain that comes with scoliosis. I completed my 240 hour yoga teacher training in 2010 at Kanyakumari Ayurveda & Yoga Wellness Center in Milwaukee, WI. Through that experience, I discovered a much deeper understanding of my yoga practice – bringing much joy, grace, and a greater sense of purpose to my life (not to mention…less back pain!). Teaching yoga has become my true passion. Sharing my love for asana (posture), pranayama (breath), and svadhyaya (self-study) with as many people as I can is an honor and a gift. I love to challenge and empower students at all levels to study, practice, and learn.
I focus primarily on teaching in the Hatha tradition, incorporating elements of Vinyasa and Anusara styles. I truly believe that “yoga meets you where you are” at any given moment. Trusting and honoring that inner wisdom continues to be an important aspect of both my teaching style and my personal practice.
