I'm a Integrative Yoga Therapy trained Structural Yoga Therapist. What I do essentially is help people help themselves using holistic methods mostly rooted in yoga and physical therapy. In my work "yoga" is the same as "union." I assist in uniting the physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual aspects of ourselves.

I'm most passionate about working with athletes, with medical maladies and in corporate wellness.

She adjusts depending on your needs

I see Jennifer at an MMA/CrossFit gym and she is always very aware that her clients here are not like the clients she sees at yoga studios. We arrive at her classes with injuries, bruises, strains, exhaustion. She checks in with every student, asking what's going on with their body that day. If a jiu jitsu fighter has hurt their knee, Jennifer adds knee work to that day's class. If a CrossFitter has a sore lower back from deadlifts, Jennifer adds some lower back stuff.

If people in the class are just exhausted from all their workouts, she'll adjust the class appropriately, so everyone gets what they need. And my gym is just one of many she works at around Portland. I'm so impressed that she is able to teach yoga in so many different environments, to so many different people, with so many different needs. She is truly a master of her craft.

Yoga teacher reviews yoga teacher

I have taken several yin and restorative classes from Jennifer and I have never been disappointed. She has years of teaching experience and she is well versed in anatomy and kinesiology which is a sign of a well taught teacher. She has helped me work on some physical issues with her broad knowledge of yoga therapeutics. She teaches at a few different studios in Portland and her classes are regularly attended with her followers.

She has a very soft demeanor and you leave her classes feeling relaxed, revived, and balanced. She really understands the value of yin and restorative classes and tries to explain the necessity of such to the new students who come from a strong yang/flow practice who may not understand the value that her classes bring. Invaluable actually. I highly recommend attending one of her classes.
