Though Jennifer first started practicing yoga 15 years ago, it wasn’t until the end of 2011 that she just “knew” that getting back into a consistent yoga practice was part of her life’s journey. Her practice transformed from being just about the physical body: allowing stretch and challenge in different ways to offset weight training in the gym. Further exploration of the greater tradition of yoga led to an unquenchable hunger for more and Jennifer began to take lessons off of her mat and into every day life.
As a bodyworker of over 10 years (specifically offering Structural Integration) and a certified yoga instructor, her passion is to help students discover movement and space in their bodies, minds, spirits and lives where they didn’t even know it could exist. Jennifer teaches safe, effective, mindful, meaningful movement; how ever that may look and feel to you. She is currently working to bring a new style of yoga, called RolfYoga, to the Pacific Northwest that brings the principles of Structural Integration into a yoga practice.
As Max Strom says in his book, A Life Worth Breathing:
“Remember, it doesn’t matter how deep into a posture you go- what does matter is who you are when you get there.”
